Granny's Flower

Granny's Flower is a little granny square with twelve lacy loops around the edge. Lots of spaces here to thread the parts of other flowers through. Use your imagination!

Granny's Flower Pattern

Round 1: ch 4, 2 dc into 4th ch from hook, ch 2; (3 dc, ch 2) 3 times into same ch, ss into top of 4 ch to join.

Round 2: ss into each of next 2 dc, ss into 2 ch sp; (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) into same sp.

*ch1, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) into next 2 ch sp*; repeat from * to * twice.

Ch 1, ss into top of 3 ch to join.

We will also make our final ss into the top of these 3 chain - SM if you like.

Round 3: Three little loops around each corner, then a chain - let's do it!

*ch 5, skip next dc, ss into next dc;

ch 5, skip 2 ch sp, ss into next dc;

ch 5, skip next dc, ss into next dc;

ch1, skip 1 ch sp, ss into next dc*

Repeat from * to * 3 times, working your last ss of the repeat into the same st you joined into at the end of the last round - that is, into the top of the 3 ch as mentioned above.

Tie off; thread this end to the back through the same chain you joined into before weaving your yarn down and around the center.
